DEAKIN gear goes where the real work happens and we want to see it in action!

Submit your favourite photo working with your Deakin gear on the job: at your worksite, in camp, on a traverse or at field school. Our selection committee will choose eight finalists which will be displayed on our website where Deakin customers vote for their favourite! All finalists win a prize. Please email us at online@deakin.com if you have any questions.

The three photos with the most votes will win DEAKIN e-Gift Cards: 1st place $500 - 2nd place $250 - 3rd place: $150

Photo submissions close November 30/26 >> Voting on Deakin.com runs December 2 thru January 15/27

  • A Sense of Place

Northern ridgelines, coastal forest, muskeg, core shacks — show us where your field work gets done

Your photo, your credit

Your photo stays yours. By entering, you're letting us share it on deakin.com, our social channels and other Deakin materials, and we'll always credit you by name and company (or school). Just make sure you took the photo yourself and anyone in it is happy to be featured.

The full details are in the Contest Terms and Conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Who can enter?

Anyone, anywhere in the world, who has reached the age of majority where they live (19 in BC), except where contests like this are prohibited by law.

Does it have to be a new photo?

No. Any photo you took is fine, including from past seasons, as long as it shows Deakin gear.

Can I enter more than one photo?

One entry per person, with one photo.

My entry shows my crew. Is that okay?

Yes, as long as everyone identifiable has agreed to be featured. Ask them first.

My photo was taken at a client's site.

Check that you're allowed to share it. Some exploration and mining sites have confidentiality rules about locations, drill setups or core. Avoid showing sensitive details.

Will Deakin use my photo even if I don't win?

Possibly. Every entrant grants Deakin permission to use their photo, so standout entries may appear on our site or social channels, always credited to you.

How will I be credited?

By your name and company (or school), plus your social handle if you give one. The credit appears with the photo — in a caption, beside it, or on the image itself.

What can I win?

1st place wins a $500 Deakin gift card, 2nd place $250 and 3rd place $150. The other five finalists each get a $50 Deakin gift card as runners-up.

Do I need to buy anything?

No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

How does voting work?

Our judges choose eight finalists, then the public votes. The three finalists with the most confirmed votes place 1st, 2nd and 3rd; the other five are runners-up. You can vote once for the whole contest, and we email you a link to confirm your vote.
