The BEAR D'FENSE™ bear deterrent pepper spray canister releases a cone shape spray pattern, slightly narrower than some of the competitor brands, therefor fans out wider. The narrower spray pattern has greater force to project the spray towards the bear.

** The larger 325 GR canister size is the preferred size for camps & group leaders. The larger size canister has more active ingredient and longer spray time, but not quite as convenient to carry as the 225 GR, which is more convent to carry on individuals.

Note: it is very important to carry the spray in the recommended belt-loop holster right at your side so it is available in an instant to protect yourself from an encounter with  an aggressive bear.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Total Strength 1.72%  Contains 1% capsaicin (strongest ingredient) plus 0.72% related major capsaicionoids.
  • Strongest formulation permitted by Health Canada
  • Goes The Distance - With the greatest wind penetration and one of the longest spray ranges available (over 20 feet)
  • Quality Control Tested - tested for leakage up to 54 ºC / 129.2 ºF.
    At high temperatures, the aerosol can may explode.
  • Total spray time:  8 seconds of spray time in the 325g model and 5 seconds for the 225g model
  • Non Flammable

  • Quick Release Safety clip is locked on the head of can for safe and secure protection.  The orange safety clip can be re-attached to prevent accidental spray releases.
